Education & Community Work

Alongside her career as a professional soprano, Jessica is a visiting lecturer and vocal teacher at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and singing teacher at the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh, and at Mary Erskines School (Edinburgh). She has also worked with The National Youth Choir of Scotland, The National youth Choir of Great Britain, The Royal Scottish National Junior Chorus, and St Mary's Music School (Edinburgh).

Jessica works regularly with the outreach departments of Scottish Opera, Edinburgh International Festival, and The Dunedin Consort as a workshop facilitator, musical director, and singing mentor. Recent and current projects include:

• 'Sophie & Bear' (a new commission children's opera for Scottish Opera Education)

• Pop-Up Opera Tour (Scottish Opera)

• Breath Cycle (Scottish Opera)

• Snappy Operas (Mahogany Opera & Edinburgh International Festival)

• Schools Workshops and Concerts (Dunedin Consort)

• Schools Opera Workshops (Edinburgh International Festival)

• Spinning Songs (Scottish Opera)

• Scottish Opera Young Company

Jessica is also an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), with whom she examines across the UK and internationally.
